PHCC Career Centre is calling for applications from Grade 12 Students who need financial assistance to pursue a qualification in one of the following:

- Chemical Engineering

- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Business Management Studies
- Economics
- Finance
- Investments
- Medicine
- Law
- Teaching
Qualifications:
- South African citizen
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Studying or intend on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Studying or intend on studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Will be in your 1st or 2nd year of study in 2021
- Studying or intend on studying at a recognised public University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric, if not yet at tertiary level
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% for the first semester, if currently at tertiary level
- Proven financial need
- Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged households
- Motivational letter about why you deserve to be awarded the bursary
- Students with disabilities are welcome to apply
Application:
Submit clear copies of the following documentation:
- ID document (recently certified copy)
- Passport sized colour photo (head to shoulder size)
- If you are in Matric: Latest academic progress record & academic record for previous 2 years (certified copies)
- If you have already completed Matric: Matric certificate (certified
copy) - If you are a tertiary student (first year): Matric certificate & latest tertiary academic report (certified copies)
- If you are a tertiary student (second year onwards): Matric certificate & all tertiary academic records (certified copies)
- Matric latest results, if currently in Matric (certified copy)
- Proof of provisional admission to a tertiary institution
- Curriculum Vitae
- Photo of you (head and shoulders only)
- Testimonial from an Educational Official (Letter of reference from a high school teacher or university lecturer (signed and stamped))
- Engineering students: must have achieved distinctions for Mathematics and Physical Science in Matric
- Parents/ guardian’s proof of residence
- Parents/ guardians/ household proof of income (salary or wage slips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed/ affidavit stating annual income if self-employed/ 3 months most recent bank statements or latest audited
- financial statement if they own a business/ SASSA letter stating grants received if applicable/ death certificate if deceased/ letter from the court stating child support amount if parents are divorced or affidavit from parent stating the child support amount received if parents are separated)
